We provide both "sit-in"
and "sit-on-top" kayaks, and teach with either type.
Once you're comfortable paddling, transitioning to another kayak
type is not difficult. We use Heritage sit-on-tops. Our "sea
kayaks" are made by Current Designs, Eddyline, Impex, Necky,
Valley and Wilderness Systems. All have two bulkheads to ensure
adequate flotation.

(John in Valley Aquanaut).
Below is a list of our kayaks. Click on the model name for
photos and detailed information. Paddling with Kayak Adventure
allows you to give several models an extended trial before you
make a decision to buy. Our rentals are different than most
outfitters' - we supply premium kayaks and life vests, lightweight
carbon-fiber paddles, sized to fit you & your paddling style.
Rental rates for lessons & guided trips:
$35/day for a single sit-on-top
$50/day for a tandem sit-on-top
$50/day for a sit-in style kayak
Off-site rentals: Once you've taken our Quickstart or
Introduction to Kayak class, or at Manager's discretion, we'll
rent for off-site use. Add $15/day to listed rental rates. We
provide straps and foam blocks to carry a kayak on your car,
or we'll take you back and forth from the launch with our vehicle.
If you haven't taken our classes, send an e-mail
with your address, phone number, how many people will be in
your group (minimum 2), and desired rental date/time. Describe
your boating/water experience, personal fitness level, and give
height & weight of renters. We will provide information
on what to wear & bring, and directions to our home office.
On your rental date, bring a photo ID. We require you to wear
a life vest at all times while underway.
* If two numbers, the first number is the width of the
sponson. The second number is the waterline width.
